Letter from the party to its electorate

I am writing this letter to all my comrades. I do so because we are close to achieving a new victory, one that will allow us to accomplish all the changes we were unable to make during these first four years. The country our president dreamed of is just around the corner, I can feel it, and I know our candidate has what it takes to bring it to life.

But I write to you with an urgent call to act so we do not miss the opportunity. We cannot rest on our laurels; there is still a campaign to win. Soon the moment of the new constituent assembly will arrive, something we have long desired in our minds and long denied in our words. We will have time to rejoice when the slaveholders of the Central Bank lose its independence under the inevitable weight of the popular constituent power. There will soon be no need to worry about respecting the mafias of the courts or the beasts of Congress. The time of the president’s second term will come, but now we must work.

However, the work ahead is not as complicated as it seems. The truth is that the opposition makes things easier for us. We must let them destroy each other. In this way, our candidate will reach the second round clean, without scratches and without even the need to debate or give interviews in the corrupt media run by mafia puppets. Let them destroy each other, let them fight, let them argue. But above all, let us continue betting on our secret card, our Trojan horse, our useful idiot.

How easy it is when the opponent is blind by choice! Let us continue encouraging support for the showman, as our president already did with his false attacks. Let us support the one who seduces naive votes by imitating Bukele, without the slightest understanding that our country and El Salvador are completely different worlds. Let them shout for the paper kitten, while we pretend outrage so they keep supporting him.

We must be grateful that they are incapable of seeing beyond what they want to see. They want someone authoritarian, they are thirsty for revenge, they want the president in jail. But all they will get is four more years of “vivir sabroso”. Know your enemy, Sun Tzu used to say, but it seems they did not do their homework. Our fear must remain hidden. Let them believe we fear the paper kitten more than the parrot and the glittered vampire.

How fortunate we are that our opponents remain in their bubble! They listen only to their own, share only among themselves, and walk straight like little horses with blinders so they are not startled or distracted by their peripheral vision. I am glad to realize they believe the story. At first it seemed impossible to me, but they voluntarily ignore danger, disregard warnings, and dismiss the truth.

But beware, comrades! It is not that the paper kitten cannot defeat us. The battle is close. But it is the easiest opponent to beat, the one that least unites the opposition, the one that generates the most fear among moderates. That is why we must continue encouraging their support. I would much rather face the kitten than any other candidate in the runoff.

Comrades, let us do our part! Let us encourage support for the Trojan little tiger!
